We are proud to present this vintage Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute Chronograph for sale in mint condition for its age.
The History of the Breitling Cosmonaute begun when it officially became the first Swiss wrist-worn chronograph in space on May 24th, 1962, when Scott Carpenter blasted off in the Mercury-Atlas 7 spacecraft wearing the Navitimer Cosmonaute. The watch was his personal request, a variation on the iconic Navitimer with the addition of a 24-hour dial to distinguish day from night in the darkness of space. Mercury-Atlas 7 orbited the earth three times before it splashed down in the Atlantic, making both aeronautic and watchmaking history.
This version of the Breitling Navitimer Cosmonaute, reference A1201912B113 comes set in a 41mm stainless steel case with bi-directional slide rule bezel. The black 24hr dial features contrasting silver triple chronograph sub dials with luminous 24hr indexes and matching hands. The watch is powered by the manually wound calibre 1861 movement and this is protected by a closed screwdown caseback engraved with a temperature gauge. Lastly, this Cosmonaute comes fitted on a dark brown leather strap and secured by a Polished Breitling pin buckle.
Originally purchased in March 1992 and in mint condition for its age, supplied with a Breitling service box, slide rule card, instruction booklet and perforated international warranty booklet.
This Cosmonaute is sold with a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.

2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
Chrono24 Buyer Protection offers complete security for your payment. If you purchase from a professional dealer, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 14 days after you receive your watch.
