Description |
We are proud to present this stylish Rolex Yacht-Master 40 for sale in fine condition for its age, fully checked and authenticated in our accredited workshop.
The Yacht-Master was first introduced in 1992 as a more luxurious alternative to the Submariner. It features a slightly more curved case that was completely polished and a uni-rotational, 60-minute graduated bezel with raised numerals. In 1999 the Platinum Yacht Master replaced the gold case with a new platinum and steel mix which went on to become Rolex’s signature Rolesium and has since become a staple of the collection. This reference 16622 was first produced in 1999 until 2012 and is set in a polished 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with a bi-rotational bezel made of ‘Rolesium’ Platinum with raised polished numerals that stand out clearly against a matte, sand-blasted background. The dial is a matching silver sandblasted finish with a striking red second hand and matching Yacht-Master text. The hands and edges of the hour markers are all platinum to prevent tarnishing, whilst the hour markers are filled with Superluminova for increased legibility. The dial is finished off with the classic date feature at 3 o’clock with a cyclops in sapphire crystal and a Triple lock screw-down crown allowing water resistance up to 100m. Powered by the Rolex calibre 3135 automatic movement and fitted on a brushed/polished stainless steel Oyster link bracelet with a folding Oysterlock safety clasp. Originally purchased in December 2009 and in fine condition for its age, this Yacht-Master comes with original Rolex inner and outer boxes, swing tag, seal, Oyster booklet, Yacht-Master booklet, guarantee manual, leather wallet and international warranty card. This Yacht-master comes with our 12-month warranty. Please contact us for shipping costs to the E.U. All images are of the actual watch for sale. We do not use library pictures. |

Do you have any questions?
Certified watches can be identified by the green "C" icon in the search results and in the listing. You can also filter search results to only view Certified watches. On the listing page, you can see whether Certified is already included or whether it's an optional add-on to your purchase. See also: What's the difference between Certified Included and Certified Optional?
2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
If you purchase from a private seller, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 7 days after you receive your watch. Please note, however, that private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
Certified is our new certification service whereby verified watchmakers check and certify the authenticity of watches to provide customers on our marketplace with a worry-free buying experience. After successful certification, you'll receive a digital certificate of authenticity that confirms the watch meets our definition of authenticity and matches the information in the listing. Certified watches come with a three-year authenticity guarantee. See also: How is the watch checked?
If you've selected a watch with Certified as an optional add-on, you can book certification for an additional charge of £249. In this case, the watch will be checked by one of our in-house watchmakers before being shipped to you. See also: What's included in Certified Optional?
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional £249 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Scope of delivery check: All additional items, e.g., original box and papers, are checked for completeness and accordance with the model reference.
Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
Private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
