Beautiful Chronograph Automatic from Breitling

Breitling Chronomat Cockpit 18k Yellow Gold Chronograph Automatic, Pink Mother-of-Pearl Dial with Luminous "Bâton" Hands, Tachymeter Scale with Rotating 18kt Yellow Gold Bezel, Bespoke Pink Crocodile Strap, Tange Buckle, 37mm

This is an 18K yellow gold Breitling Chronomat Cockpit K30012. It has a bespoke pink crocodile/alligator leather strap with an 18K yellow gold tang buckle, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. It has domed screw-down gold chronograph push buttons and a gold domed screw-down winding crown. There is a solid screw-down case back with "BREITLING – 1884," and the wings logo in a recessed center medallion, and around the polished perimeter is engraved "MANUFACTURE EN SUISSE – AUTOMATIC 100M," and two hallmarks. The 37mm diameter solid three-body case, lapidated curved lugs, and rotating gold unidirectional bezel are polished. The bezel has engraved baton 60-minute graduations and raised riders at the quarter hours with engraved Arabic numerals and a dot at 12 o'clock. The dial is unique Mother-of-Pearl with applied faceted baton hour markers with luminous squares, and an applied gold Arabic 12. There is an outer minute/one-fifth seconds scale, and a perimeter tachymeter to 500 UPH. There are gold baton hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep chronograph hand. There is a date aperture window between 4 and 5 o'clock, and there are three gold-ringed mother-of-pearl subsidiary dials, including a running seconds indicator at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph totalizer at 6 o'clock, and a 30-minute register is at 9 o'clock. It's water resistant to 100 meters, and it has a 42-hour power reserve at full wind.

This Breitling Chronomat Cockpit K30012 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Breitling caliber movement. It's rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It's constructed with 55 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight-line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and the mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).

Throughout history since its founding in 1884, Breitling had been widely regarded as the go-to brand for many air and sea navigators for their remarkable chronographs and uncompromising quality. The Breitling Chronomat Cockpit timepieces do not deviate far from the brands DNA with its 18k yellow gold case and indexed unidirectional rotating bezel. The case measures 37mm, inside of which beats a Swiss automatic mechanism with an approximately 42 hour power reserve.

Beneath the Breitling Chronomat Cockpit’s sapphire crystal, the hours, minutes, seconds, date, and chronograph are laid out in perfect harmony. A tachymetre scale surrounds the dial which also boasts of luminous hands and markers. Featuring an impressive 100m water resistance, the Breitling Chronomat can get one from work to serious play in no time.

The Chronomat Cockpit is the evolution of the company's flagship timepiece. As the leader of the Breitling Collection, the Chronomat rapidly asserted itself as the reference in the specialized field of mechanical chronographs. Originally created to equip the famous Frecce Tricolori flight team, the Chronomat has constantly evolved over the years, both technically and aesthetically. The Evolution version of the Chronomat is undoubtedly the most accomplished, with its generous, sophisticated lines resulting from a subtle alchemist's blend of proportions and curves.

The leading model among the Breitling collections, the Chronomat reflects a universe dedicated to performance, sporting feats and surpassing personal limits.

Brief Brand History for Breitling:

Breitling was founded in 1884 by Leon Breitling in St. Imier, Switzerland. His specialty from the start was the production of Chronographs. In 1936, most airplanes were fitted with Breitling chronographs. In the mid 90's, Breitling launched the life-saving 'Emergency' model that could trigger a rescue anywhere in the world. Most recently, the partnership with Bentley has really catapulted the company to great heights.

Product Line Overview:

Breitling watches are 'Instruments for Professionals'. Known primarily for being a favorite of aircraft pilots, Breitling watches are very popular with people from all walks of life. Breitling watchmakers are governed by four essential criteria: sturdiness, functionality, precision and aesthetic sophistication. You can be sure that any watch released by Breitling will have achieved the top echelon in all four, before being named a 'Breitling' piece.

The Breitling 'Windrider' collection features the exclusive style and rotating rider-tab bezel of Breitling's most popular watch, the sturdy, precise and functional chronograph, 'Chronomat'.
