Based loosely on the first circular dial introduced by Cartier in 1943, the Cartier Pasha collection traces its roots back to old military watches designed to withstand a range of challenging conditions. This made the Pasha among the earliest water resistant wristwatches on the market, supposedly designed to fulfil the Pasha of Marrakech’s request for a watch he could wear in the pool.
