This is a rubber-coated stainless steel IWC Galapagos Aquatimer Chronograph IW379502. It has a black rubber strap with the patented IWC quick-change system, a stainless steel tang buckle, and a convex scratch resistant sapphire crystal with antireflective coating on both sides. It has ovoid chronograph push buttons, a screw down winding crown, and there is a rubber-coated button that operates the sliding clutch system flanked by twin correctors on the left side of the case edge at the 9 o'clock position; this advances the black rubber inner dive bezel. It has a screw-down case back with the Galapagos Marine Iguana logo in relief, and it's engraved with "IWC AQUATIMER CHRONOGRAPH EDITION – AQUATIMER - 30 BAR," and a serial number. It has a vulcanized rubber mechanical unidirectional rotating bezel with IWC's SafeDive system, including luminous white Arabic numerals at 15, 30, and 45 minutes, and a white triangle at 60. The 44mm diameter solid three-body case, straight lugs, and rounded rubber bezel, are matte black. The dial is black with luminescent SuperLuminova "U-shaped" hour indices around a luminous white minute/seconds scale. It has luminous black steel pointed fat baton hands, and a white center sweep chronograph hand with a skeletonized yellow tip. There is a luminous date aperture window at 3 o'clock, and it has twin recessed black subsidiary dials with luminous white markers, Arabic numerals, and white/yellow hands, including a running small seconds register at 12 o'clock, and a 60-minute chronograph totalizer is at 6 o'clock. It has a 68-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 300 meters/1000 feet. The 17mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This IWC Galapagos Aquatimer Chronograph IW379502 has a mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 89365 fly back chronograph movement. It's rhodium-plated, with fausses cotes and cotes de Geneve embellishment. It's constructed with 35 jewels, 294components, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a small seconds hacking system for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
