Description |
A very rare 18k yellow gold Day-Date men's wristwatch, by Rolex but commissioned by Asprey, after being approached by Qaboos bin Said; the former Sultan of Oman.
The grey dial with applied hour markers and the iconic day and date apertures, features an Arabic inscription which translates to "Qaboos", in reference to the former Sultan. Complementing the dial is a plastic glass and a gold fluted bezel. On the reverse side, is a gold caseback engraved with "Asprey" on the outside and the full serial number on the inside. Fitted with a generic brown leather strap and a generic gold plated pin buckle, this vintage automatic timepiece is in excellent condition and comes with a presentation box and service card dated July 2010. Founded in 1905 Rolex have led the way in innovative, dependable and stylish wristwatches and boast a number of firsts in the watch industry including auto date changers and waterproof wristwatches. |

After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.

If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional £249 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
