Description

This is not your usual, every day Seiko. This watch is an uber-rare Seiko SKX027 diver watch (for Japan market) that is now discontinued.
It was only produced for a few years from the mid to late 90's. The Watch is still in protective plastic and was purchased originally as NOS however it is an Ex retail display model so there are a few very light marks from where the watch has been tried on and stored.
It is Boxed with manual but no warranty due to age
This is a Seiko collectors dream with its original two-tone silver/gold Seiko bracelet.
This is an elusive and rather hard to find reference. When it's gone, it's gone. You may not find this one again.

This great looking Seiko SKX027 is a 37mm automatic watch with a stainless steel case and a white analog dial protected by hardlex crystal.
It uses a 7S26 caliber self-winding mechanical movement. It cannot be manually wound and it does not have hacking seconds.
It beats at 21,600 bph (3hz) and should run for around 43 hours when fully wound.
The SKX027 does not appear to be available for purchase on any .com site that I can find - making this unique Seiko as rare as a Unicorns Horn.

The black bezel with gold markings contrasts nicely with the white dial and gold accents on the markers, hands, and Seiko logo, with a gold border around the day/date window.
The bezel is very clean without the one-minute increments from 15 onwards. The flat dial / lack of a raised chapter ring gives it an interesting look as well. The crown at 3 o'clock (instead of 4) and its size is well designed in my opinion given the 37mm case.

The case of the SKX027 is 12mm thick.
It has a lug width (bracelet size) of 20mm.
It is water resistant to 100 meters so sufficient for splashes, rain, baths, showers & swimming, but is not recommended for scuba diving.
It features a screw down crown.
The stainless steel bi-directional bezel shows minute numbering and looks super clean and uncluttered.
It features day/date complication.
Applied hour markers and Seiko logo.

This rare model will be an impressive addition to any collection and a likely investment due to its rarity.

Size guide for wristbands

1 | Lug width

The lug width is the width of the strap at the end that is attached to the watch. This is the interior distance between the two lugs (horn-like protrusions) on the watch casing. The strap will fit your watch only if the lug width of the watch is the same width as the strap.

2 | Buckle width

The buckle width is the width of the strap at the buckle end. If you want to keep your watch’s original buckle and replace only the strap, the width of the original buckle must be identical to the strap width. For watches with folding clasps, please choose a strap specially made for your particular clasp.

3 | Strap length

The strap length is the combined length of the short strap side 3A (without buckle) and the long strap side 3B. For metal straps, the length of the strap including the clasp is measured in the closed position.

4 | Strap thickness

Strap thickness is the height of the strap. Many leather straps thin out towards the buckle end, or “taper”. If you want to keep your watch’s original buckle and replace only the strap, the strap thickness must match the height of the original buckle. For watches with folding clasps, please choose a strap specially made for your particular clasp.
