Description |
Gents Patek Philippe Nautilus in stainless steel, Ref#5712/1A-001. On a stainless steel bracelet with a hidden flip-lock double deployant clasp. Rounded octagonal bezel with a sapphire crystal. Hinged design case and a sapphire caseback. The case dimensions are 40 mm x 38 mm. Self-winding movement with date, sub-seconds, power reserve indicator, and phases of the moon. Dark blue dial with applied, framed, luminescent-filled hour markers and luminescent-filled hands. Box, booklets, pusher, and papers dated November 2006. Very Good condition.
This early 2006 5712 is highly sought after and contains a few interesting transitional design items that are not found in the more modern 5172s. The production of the 5712 between 2006 and 2009 bare the Geneva seal. The color of the dial resembles the 3712, which is a more grey-blue when compared to the more recent versions. The moon phase will also resemble the 3712, being reflective to light, whereas the more recent moon phase has a matte appearance. There is only one dot at the 48 marker of the power reserve, the newer 5712s will have two dots. The papers of the early 5712 will have the Philippe Stern stamp. All of these design elements help to make this transitional 5712 an early and exciting piece. |

Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.

Certified is our new certification service whereby verified watchmakers check and certify the authenticity of watches to provide customers on our marketplace with a worry-free buying experience. Certified watches come with a three-year authenticity guarantee. See also: How is the watch checked?
If you've selected a watch with Certified as an optional add-on, you can book certification for an additional charge of £249. In this case, the watch will be checked by one of our in-house watchmakers before being shipped to you. See also: What's included in Certified Optional?
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional £249 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?

Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
