Description |
We are proud to present this impressive Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 for sale in lovely condition, fully checked and authenticated in our accredited workshop.
The Sea-Dweller was originally developed in 1967 to compliment the already popular Submariner collection, the Sea-Dweller was developed originally for saturation divers working for SeaLab who were spending a lot longer underwater than your casual Submariner wearer. Because of those extreme conditions and depths, the divers noticed that the crystal would pop out of the case during decompression due to the helium particles in the case. So, Rolex developed the Helium release valve under their patent and thus the Sea-Dweller was born. This version the reference 116600 was in production from 2014-2017 making it the shortest production model of the Sea-Dweller ever produced. It comes set in the classic 40mm stainless steel Oyster case with a black ceramic (first time in this collection) uni-rotational bezel with divers scale black bezel insert. The dial is a clean black colour with contrasting Chromalight luminous hour markers, edged in white gold to prevent tarnishing. The dial is finished off with the iconic ‘Mercedes’ hands and a date window at 3 o’clock, which are protected by a flat sapphire crystal glass (no-cyclops). The watch is powered by the Rolex calibre 3135 automatic chronometer movement and is water resistant up to 122atm (1220m/4000ft) thanks to the triple-lock crown, extra robust Oyster case and Helium release valve at 9 o’clock. It comes fitted on a brushed steel Oyster link bracelet with a folding clasp with safety catch. Originally purchased in December 2014 and in mint condition, this Sea-Dweller comes with its original Rolex inner and outer box, seal, instruction booklet, leather warranty holder and international warranty card. This Rolex is sold with our 12-month warranty. With such a short production run, this would be a great piece for any Rolex sports watch enthusiast. Please contact us for shipping costs to the E.U. All images are of the actual watch for sale. We do not use library pictures. |

Do you have any questions?
Certified watches can be identified by the green "C" icon in the search results and in the listing. You can also filter search results to only view Certified watches. On the listing page, you can see whether Certified is already included or whether it's an optional add-on to your purchase. See also: What's the difference between Certified Included and Certified Optional?
2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
If you purchase from a private seller, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 7 days after you receive your watch. Please note, however, that private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
Certified is our new certification service whereby verified watchmakers check and certify the authenticity of watches to provide customers on our marketplace with a worry-free buying experience. After successful certification, you'll receive a digital certificate of authenticity that confirms the watch meets our definition of authenticity and matches the information in the listing. Certified watches come with a three-year authenticity guarantee. See also: How is the watch checked?
If you've selected a watch with Certified as an optional add-on, you can book certification for an additional charge of £249. In this case, the watch will be checked by one of our in-house watchmakers before being shipped to you. See also: What's included in Certified Optional?
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional £249 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Scope of delivery check: All additional items, e.g., original box and papers, are checked for completeness and accordance with the model reference.
Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
Private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
