Description |
We are proud to present this stylish Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special Bronze watch for sale.
The roots of this iconic timepiece trace back to the early days of aviation when fearless pioneers took to the skies, pushing the boundaries of human exploration. In 1909, Zenith became one of the first manufacturers to craft onboard instruments for aircraft, solidifying its commitment to the world of aviation. This dedication culminated in the creation of the Zenith Pilot watch, a timekeeping marvel that not only met the rigorous demands of aviators but also became a symbol of timeless style and mechanical excellence. Through the decades, the Zenith Pilot has evolved, seamlessly blending heritage design with cutting-edge technology, making it a revered companion for those who seek precision and elegance in their timepieces. This particular variation of the Zenith Pilot, reference 96.2431.693, was crafted in celebration of the Wright brothers who were pioneers in the history of aviation and commemorates their contributions to the world of aviation in 1903 with their plane the `Wright Flyer`, hence why the edition is limited to just 1903 pieces. Coming set in an large 48mm black DLC coated titanium case fitted with a button at 10 o`clock for quick adjustment of the GMT hand. The black dial features an independent GMT hand, running seconds subdial, oversized luminous Arab numerals and matching cathedral hands, both inlaid with a camouflage pattern. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal glass and the 10atm (100m/330ft) water resistance is ensured by a screwdown onion crown. Powering the watch is the automatic calibre 694 movement, which is protected by a closed commemorative caseback. Lastly, this limited edition is completed by a leather bund strap with titanium pin buckle clasp. Originally purchased circa 2017 and supplied in fine condition with both the original inner and outer boxes, both booklets, barcode, card holder and Zenith warranty card. Serviced with Zenith in January 2020, and sold with our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. Please contact us for shipping costs to the E.U. All images are of the actual watch for sale. We do not use library pictures. |

Do you have any questions?
Certified watches can be identified by the green "C" icon in the search results and in the listing. You can also filter search results to only view Certified watches. On the listing page, you can see whether Certified is already included or whether it's an optional add-on to your purchase. See also: What's the difference between Certified Included and Certified Optional?
2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
If you purchase from a private seller, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 7 days after you receive your watch. Please note, however, that private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
Certified is our new certification service whereby verified watchmakers check and certify the authenticity of watches to provide customers on our marketplace with a worry-free buying experience. After successful certification, you'll receive a digital certificate of authenticity that confirms the watch meets our definition of authenticity and matches the information in the listing. Certified watches come with a three-year authenticity guarantee. See also: How is the watch checked?
If you've selected a watch with Certified as an optional add-on, you can book certification for an additional charge of £249. In this case, the watch will be checked by one of our in-house watchmakers before being shipped to you. See also: What's included in Certified Optional?
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional £249 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Scope of delivery check: All additional items, e.g., original box and papers, are checked for completeness and accordance with the model reference.
Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
Private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
