We are proud to present the iconic IWC Big Pilot`s 7-Day Power Reserve for sale in mint condition.
Originally crafted for aviators in the 1940s, the Big Pilot has transcended its utilitarian origins to become a timeless icon of the IWC repertoire. Characterized by its imposing case size, oversized crown, and clear, legible dial, the Big Pilot is a masterpiece of both form and function. Its design pays homage to the brand`s aviation heritage, reflecting the instruments that navigators and pilots relied upon in the cockpit. Beyond its aeronautical roots, the Big Pilot seamlessly integrates modern advancements, featuring robust movements and contemporary materials. As a symbol of technical prowess and aesthetic excellence, the IWC Big Pilot continues to captivate enthusiasts, collectors, and aviators alike, offering a harmonious blend of heritage and innovation within its unmistakable design.
This iteration of the Big Pilot, reference IW500401, features an oversize 46.2mm stainless steel case fitted with a convex sapphire crystal glass and oversized fluted `onion` crown, ensuring a water resistance of 6atm (60m/196ft). The clean black dial features oversized Arab numerals, luminous 3/6/9/12 hour indexes, matching luminous hands, power reserve sub-dial at 3 o`clock and the classic date aperture located at 6 o`clock. Driven by the Automatic calibre 51110 movement, which boasts an incredible 168 hours of power reserve and is protected by a closed screwdown caseback. Presented on a black alligator leather IWC strap with matching IWC deployment buckle.
Originally sold in December 2007 and in mint condition, supplied with its original inner box, IWC cleaning cloth, retail swing tag, instruction booklet and international warranty card.
This Big Pilot is sold with our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase.

1. Look for listings with the Certified icon
Certified watches can be identified by the green "C" icon in the search results and in the listing. You can also filter search results to only view Certified watches. On the listing page, you can see whether Certified is already included or whether it's an optional add-on to your purchase. 2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
Chrono24 Buyer Protection offers complete security for your payment. If you purchase from a professional dealer, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 14 days after you receive your watch. This means your money is safe until you're sure you're satisfied with your purchase. Only then will we transfer payout to the dealer. If you aren't satisfied with your purchase, you can exercise your statutory right to withdraw and return the watch to the dealer within 14 days for any reason.

If you've selected a watch with Certified as an optional add-on, you can book certification for an additional charge of £249. In this case, the watch will be checked by one of our in-house watchmakers before being shipped to you. See also: What's included in Certified Optional?
If certification is already included, you'll receive your certified watch at no additional cost. You pay the purchase price of the watch as usual via our escrow service.
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional £249 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
If certification is available for a watch, you'll see the green Certified icon in the search results and in the listing. As we are continually adding new watches to our Certified program, it's worth checking your favorite watches for the Certified icon from time to time.
All Certified watches are comprehensively checked against specific criteria by a verified watchmaker. This is how we guarantee the authenticity of your watch.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Scope of delivery check: All additional items, e.g., original box and papers, are checked for completeness and accordance with the model reference.
Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
Every watchmaker who certifies watches under the Certified program has to meet certain criteria. In this way, we ensure he or she has suitable qualifications and technical equipment. Through individualized audits, we also ensure that watches are tested exclusively by experts and in accordance with our standards. The certificate of authenticity is a digital document that cannot be lost, stolen, or damaged. Once you've received the watch, you can find the corresponding certificate in your Chrono24 account. After logging in, you can access it under the "Buy" menu or directly via your Watch Collection.
Returns under the Certified program are subject to our general returns policy. If you buy from a professional dealer, you can exercise your statutory right to withdrawal within 14 days of receiving the watch and get your money back quickly and hassle-free.
