Description |
We are proud to introduce this Omega Speedmaster `57 Chronograph for sale in fine condition.
The Omega Speedmaster stands as an iconic timepiece with a rich heritage and an enduring legacy in the realm of horology. Renowned as the "Moonwatch," the Speedmaster achieved global fame for being the first watch worn on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission in 1969. Beyond its extraterrestrial connection, this chronograph has consistently embodied precision, durability, and timeless design since its inception in 1957. The Speedmaster has become a symbol of innovation and adventure, captivating watch enthusiasts and space aficionados alike with its blend of cutting-edge technology and classic aesthetics. With a storied past and a commitment to excellence, the Omega Speedmaster continues to capture the imagination of watch connoisseurs and remains a symbol of unparalleled craftsmanship in the world of haute horlogerie. This particular version of the Speedmaster, reference 331.10.42.51.01.002 is based on the original “Broad Arrow” Speedmaster which was launched in 1957, which was not just the first Speedmaster, but also the first chronograph in the world to feature a tachymeter scale on the bezel as opposed to printed on the dial. This iteration features a 2 register black dial with applied baton indexes and `Broad Arrow` hands filled with vintage styled Super LumiNova. The dial is completed with a date aperture at 6 o`clock and protected by a sapphire crystal glass. The watch is powered by the automatic calibre 9300 chronometer movement which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal exhibition caseback. Finally the watch is completed by the classic brushed/polished flat link bracelet which is secured by a folding butterfly clasp. Please be advised that this watch is also supplied with a tan calf leather strap with stainless steel deployment clasp. Originally sold in December 2015 and in fine condition due to minor marks present on the bezel. This Speedmaster `57 is sold with its original inner box, Omega accessory box, leatherette card holder, tan leather strap, deployment buckle, Pictogram and international warranty cards. This watch is sold with our 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. Please contact us for shipping costs to the E.U. All images are of the actual watch for sale. We do not use library pictures. |

Do you have any questions?
Certified watches can be identified by the green "C" icon in the search results and in the listing. You can also filter search results to only view Certified watches. On the listing page, you can see whether Certified is already included or whether it's an optional add-on to your purchase. See also: What's the difference between Certified Included and Certified Optional?
2. Certification by verified watchmakers
Before you receive your watch, it will be checked and certified by a verified watchmaker. Among other things, the watchmaker checks whether your watch matches the listing information and whether it complies with our definition of authenticity.
3. Receive your watch and digital certificate of authenticity
After successful certification, you can rest assured your new watch is genuine. This is confirmed by a certificate of authenticity, which you can access digitally after receiving your watch.
If you purchase from a private seller, we will hold the purchase amount in our escrow account for 7 days after you receive your watch. Please note, however, that private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
Certified is our new certification service whereby verified watchmakers check and certify the authenticity of watches to provide customers on our marketplace with a worry-free buying experience. After successful certification, you'll receive a digital certificate of authenticity that confirms the watch meets our definition of authenticity and matches the information in the listing. Certified watches come with a three-year authenticity guarantee. See also: How is the watch checked?
If you've selected a watch with Certified as an optional add-on, you can book certification for an additional charge of £249. In this case, the watch will be checked by one of our in-house watchmakers before being shipped to you. See also: What's included in Certified Optional?
If you book certification for a watch that is not already certified, you pay the purchase price of the watch plus an additional £249 for certification. We will only issue an invoice for the certification if you expressly request one.
The check includes the following:
Authenticity check: We check both the exterior and interior of the watch against our definition of authenticity. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Condition check: We check whether the condition of the watch matches the information in the listing, including the complications, winding mechanism, chronograph function, and more. See also: How do we define authenticity?
Scope of delivery check: All additional items, e.g., original box and papers, are checked for completeness and accordance with the model reference.
Stolen watch check: We check whether the watch's serial number is listed in the leading stolen watches databases. This ensures that there are no thefts reported for the serial number.
Private sellers are not legally mandated to accept returns.
